$50B 8(a) STARS III Initial Award Cohort List Released

G2X TAKE: The long awaited list of awardees for the next generation of this highly successful GWAC and very popular vehicle used widely across the Federal sector, which will have a $50 billion ceiling and focus on emerging technologies, has been released.

“This is a written announcement to all interested parties. While announcement of contract awards is not required for 8(a) procurements per FAR 5.303(a)(1), the General Services Administration (GSA) would like to share the good news about contract selections under the 8(a) Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resource for Services III (STARS III) Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (GWAC).”

“After review and evaluation in accordance with the criteria established in the solicitation, GSA has determined to make contract awards to 426 offerors as part of the initial award cohort. Individual award notices were sent to those offerors on Thursday June 17, 2021. The list below, however, does not represent the total number of awards expected.”

“As provided for in the solicitation, GSA intends to make STARS III awards in phases. Following discussions later this summer with the remaining offerors in the competitive range and evaluation of revised final proposals, GSA expects to make additional awards.”

“Federal customers and potential customers interested in 8(a) STARS III should refer to the STARS III website at www.gsa.gov/stars3 for more information about when the GWAC will be ready for use. We expect to issue notices to proceed to all awardees in the initial award cohort within the next 30 days.”
