“The Office of Acquisition Management proposes to extend the current task order SAQMMA 14F 1418 for six additional months with the existing GSA Schedule Contractor Edgesource Corporation to provide continual IT and BNET services on behalf of the US. Department of State, Bureau of Administration, Executive Office, Division of Information Technology Services (A/EX/ITS). The total estimated cost is $3,092,921.59.”

“… To provide IT and BNET uninterrupted services under the current GSA task order contract SAQMMA 14F1418, Edgesource that is due to expire on 12/31/2019. It is requested that the current contract be extended for six-months with a period of performance start and end date of 1/1/2020 through 6/30/2020.

The A/EX IT CCB baseline contains all IT equipment and software currently approved for use in support of the Department of State. This includes items tested and approved for support of A/EX/ITS bureau customers. The approximate set of applications and activities to be managed and maintained by Edge source is as follows: 145 web sites, 47 oracle databases, 18 Microsoft Access databases, 282 SQL databases and 180 business applications, of which 10 are mission.”

“The program office based upon industry-wide research and hands-on experience with multiple service providers, Edgesource was identified as having the expertise and qualifications necessary to meet this requirement. There are multiple GSA schedule contractors identified under the SIN for BNET services considered as qualified sources. However, based on trade off and best value Edgesource Corporation offered the best solution.”

“The services that Edgesource Corporation is being requested predicated upon the following factors: (I) AlEX/ITS has collaborated with Edgesource Corporation to develop and maintain several enterprise level applications within the Department of State, which requires a strong demand for the services provided under this scope. For example, Edgesource Corporation has developed the Alert Messaging System, which is a critical emergency notification system which provides the ability to notify State Department employees if an emergency occurs, the IRPMS application which allows the office of…”
