As the Chief, Decennial Census Management Division (DCMD), you will:
- Provide overall direction and management for implementing the decennial census.
- Plan and coordinate the decennial census of the United States and the Island Areas under its jurisdiction. Support the Assistant Director for Decennial Programs, Operations and Schedule Management, in overall operational planning and conduct of census tests, dress rehearsals, and the census itself.
- Within the design parameters developed for the decennial census, be responsible for supporting the Assistant Director for Decennial Programs, Operations and Schedule Management in the formulation of the objectives and goals of the decennial census, the content of the questionnaires, the nature and objectives of research and testing efforts, the budgetary needs and allocation of funds.
- Be knowledgeable regarding legislation affecting U.S. Census Bureau programs; keep abreast of legislative enactments and their effect on census preparation and conduct; be responsible for ensuring that the decennial process is consistent with policy guidelines and policy changes …”
