DOE RFI: National Nuclear Security Administration Technology Support Services

“The NNSA OCIO is looking to enhance, improve, and upgrade new unclassified and classified computing environments, mastering cloud based solutions, and architecting solutions for urgent nuclear mission needs. The focus is on standardization, surety, modernization, and optimization that will facilitate NNSA and mission partners in the achievement of a resilient nuclear deterrent. NNSA OCIO desires an environment that leans more toward enterprise-centric solutions that leverage managed services and leading edge technologies.”

“The current IT and cybersecurity construct limits the ability to leverage newer technologies and change or consolidate functions or systems. This state has hampered efforts to effectively keep pace with consistently changing mission work and collaboration needs.”

“The NNSA is interested in a single or a set of integrated service contracts that fully leverage technology based on industry leading practices and in compliance with existing security requirements. The NNSA seeks to obtain insights from industry leaders regarding implementation of cybersecurity and information technology best practices into business processes to strengthen NNSA’s security posture and ensure that the IT environment is trustworthy, resilient, and adequately protected, as well as minimize the dependency on traditional on-premise hosting, hardware ownership, and overall lifecycle management.”

“The Agency is looking for a comprehensive set of services that will provide the staff with a seamless technology experience and allow the NNSA OCIO to focus on strategic initiatives. These services include, but are not limited to: email and messaging; document management services; workstations/laptops/virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI); web services; application services, mobile device management; infrastructure and network access; end-user support; identification, credentialing, and authentication; system/application operations and maintenance; security operations; and risk management…”
