“I. BACKGROUND

As one of the nation’s principal conservation agencies, the National Park Service (NPS), Harpers Ferry Center (HFC) assists with the responsibility to protect and manage some of our most treasured resources.

Each site, established by legislation, recognizes and commemorates a significant natural resource, cultural, or historical event. The Harpers Ferry Center provides interpretive media, in one form or another, for all of the 400+ National Park sites located throughout the United States and its territories.

Museum Conservation Services (MCS) located in the Willow Springs (WS) Building at the HFC has a mission to conserve, and/or preserve museum objects from Parks throughout the NPS System.

The NPS Parks rely on the expertise of the HFC MCS Conservation Department to conserve their priceless artifacts and objects for future generations to enjoy.

To manage the museum conservation efforts, MCS depends on a Registration database where objects are entered as they are received for treatment…”

“The existing database is 20+ years old and was written using the now defunct Microsoft Access. It is no longer compatible with Windows 10 and must be re-developed.

  1. PURPOSE

The purpose of this contract is to provide the NPS/MCS with a newly developed database to replace the existing REGGAR database and to provide PUBS and MD with ongoing FileMaker database updates and new development, in accordance with the following Scope of Work.
