The Department of Interior (DOI) has issued a pre-solicitation to provide the Office of Historical Trust Accounting (OHTA), Office of the Special Trustee for American Indians (OST), and/or other Interior offices with services to capture (image), index through coding and/or digitize, and store a subset of Federal and Native American trust records or other directed records. The Contractor shall also provide OHTA, OST and/or Interior expert coding procedures and systems that will support the federal government’s historical accounting obligations under the Reform Act, ongoing tribal accounting and tribal litigation efforts, and/or additional imaging and coding projects as directed. All work shall be performed in a quality-controlled environment to protect the records and their integrity, and ensure no records are overlooked or mis-coded. The Contractor shall accomplish the work using a stand-alone automated system(s) without connectivity to the Internet or other on-line approaches unless otherwise directed. Specific tasks include Imaging and Coding, Imaging Mobile Team, Media, Digital Center of Excellence (DCE), and Other Imaging and Coding Projects.
The period of performance shall be for a one Base Year period of 11 months, 29 days and four, 12-month options periods. The Government intends on releasing an RFP in the near future with an anticipated posting around 15-21 days from the posting of this pre-solicitation notice. The proposals would be due on or about July 8, 2019.
