DOJ awards $250M Unified Financial Management System (UFMS) O&M BPA

G2X TAKE: CGI Federal, a leading consultancy, which lays claim to 7,000 professionals and partnerships with more than 85 Government agencies, and which provides solutions for defense, civilian, Healthcare and intelligence missions, has been awarded a $250M Department of Justice (DOJ) Offices, Boards and Divisions (OBD) single-award BPA for Unified Financial Management System (UFMS) Operations and Maintenance. CGI Federal was the only bidder for the work, which was competed on the GSA MAS Schedule.

Take Bytes

  • UFMS is an integrated solution that combines and replaces six core financial management and multiple procurement systems operating across the DOJ. It streamlines and standardizes business processes and procedures across all Components, providing secure, accurate, timely, and useful financial data to financial and program managers across the department, and produces Component and department-level financial statements. More here.
  • CGI is a major partner to DOJ, a longtime user of CGI’s Momentum software for which the team was awarded a fresh contract to start 2021. Momentum is a web-based, Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) system built to specifically support the full federal financial, budget, asset and procurement management lifecycles.
  • In October, CGI Federal beat out 2 other bidders to win a 5-year, $5M task from the Department of Justice for DATA Act support for FMIG. The task was awarded on the DOJ Financial Management Assistance Support Services (FMASS II) BPA, which was awarded earlier this year.
  • This Fall CGI Federal announced a reorganization to align with evolving federal priorities. The reorganization included adding strategic senior talent, reorganizing business units to collaborate across shared mission themes, and establishing a new horizontal practice that integrates advisory services and emerging technologies with a focus on leveraging global best practices from both private and public sectors. Read the press release here.
  • CGI recently acquired Array Holding Company, Inc. (ARRAY), a leading digital services provider, in a move to add to its digital modernization and DevOps capabilities. This move followed the acquisition in 2020 of TeraThink, a move intended to expand its footprint across FedCiv, furthering bolstering its Financial Systems Modernization and data analytics capabilities. Read more here on the latest aquisition.
  • CGI recently recruited industry leader Ed Jopeck as its Director of Business Development. His was just the latest in a string of strategic moves that included adding digital automation leader Paresh Patel as Vice President, Management Consulting – CIO Advisory Practice; recruiting industry executive Elinor Damo as Vice President Consulting Services; and naming industry leader Stephanie Mango as President earlier this year.
  • Earlier this year CGI was identified among the Federal Civilian leaders noted as 2021 Top Workplaces in the Washington Area.
