“The purpose of this requirement is to obtain information technology security services to support the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) at the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) Information Security Program. The OCIO is responsible for providing information security protection of OJP information and information systems, including protecting from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction of information collected or maintained by or on behalf of OJP and its constituents.”

“As part of the OJP’s ongoing requirement for information security and accreditation of its IT systems, DOJ requires contractor IT security support for the security authorization process, security architecture and engineering, FISMA, FedRAMP and FISCAM auditing support, and IT Security services.”

“OJP’s Information Technology Security Division requires contractor support services to provide IT security support for the wide range of IT General Support Systems and Major Applications of OJP offices, bureaus, grants and cooperative agreements. The authorized IT security support activities under this tasking shall be consistent with OMB Circular A-130, FISCAM, FedRAMP, NIST guidelines and standards, DOJ policies and regulations, and other relevant federal laws and regulations.”

“OCIO desires IT security services which includes support for the engineering, development, implementation, and periodic review and update of certification and accreditation actions for information systems and networks. The areas of support include:

  1. Security Operations, Engineering & Continuous Diagnostics and Monitoring
  2. Monitoring, Analysis, Detection and Incident Response Reporting Requested Information
  3. Vulnerability Assessment and Application Security Support
  4. Disaster Recovery / Continuity of Operations (DR/COOP) Support
  5. Security Engineering
  6. Security Control Assessment…”
