DOJ taps new Director for Office of Acquisition Management

Building on experience gained supporting the Department of Justice for over a decade through a series of progressively responsible roles, Tara Jamison takes on a new challenge as Director for the Office of Acquisition Management.

Tara previously advised the Department’s Chief Acquisition Officer, Senior Procurement Executive, and Bureau Procurement Chiefs regarding Department-wide procurement policy direction, Office of Management and Budget initiatives, and acquisition-related strategic priorities.

In her new role, she serves as Principal consultant to the Chief Acquisition Officer, Senior Procurement Executive, and Bureau Procurement Chiefs in managing an efficient acquisition system that implements the requirements of pertinent statutes, regulations and other guidance and provides leadership to approximately 800 acquisition workforce members worldwide in executing a complex acquisition portfolio with annual spend of $7.95B.

Prior roles include:

  • Assistant Director, Office of Acquisition Management – U.S. Department of Justice
  • Contracting Officer – Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
  • Contracting Officer – U.S. Department of Justice
