“The Supervisory IT Specialist (Security) serves as the Chief Information Security Officer responsible for all matters involving the security of information systems for the Tax Division, supporting systems in Dallas, Texas and Washington, DC.” 


As a Supervisory IT Specialist (Security) GS-2210-15, your typical work assignments may include the following: 

  • Serves as Deputy to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and shares in the responsibility for overseeing continuity of operations; organizational processes; and planning, quality control, and monitoring of resources; leads teams in responding to cybersecurity incidents. 
  • Oversees a Division-wide Information Technology (IT) Security Program and serves as the principal security leader to implement the requirements of the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).”
