- The Office of the Chief Information Officer is responsible for the overall direction and management of the Commission’s computer and telecommunications systems including information management, development, operations and maintenance support of systems across the Enterprise to include primary locations and field offices, evaluating emerging technology to support various mission needs within the FCC; and, verifying all solutions abide by IT standards to include security policy with changing business needs and strategic direction.
- Is responsible for overall direction of the Commission’s Information technology and telecommunications systems.
- Serves as the Senior Information Technology Program Advisor to the Managing Director, Chairman, Commissioners and Commission on issues involving strategic and tactical-information systems planning and execution; and providing executive leadership and direction to the Information Technology Center staff in fulfilling the FCC’s Information Technology Vision of delivering modern infrastructure, information, and communications technologies to support and empower innovation of the diverse FCC’s Bureaus and Offices missions.”
