G2X TAKE: GDIT, a major partner to the Department of Homeland Security, who specializes in helping agencies address new challenges and identify opportunities through the application of technology and services, just beat out three other bidders to secure a new 2-year, $202M award. Work is to provide a contact center to provide funeral services assistance to surviving family members of the COVID-19 disaster. This contract, which was funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Community Survivor Assistance Section, under the GSA automated contact center solutions contracts, is identified as being awarded using GSA IT-70.
- GDIT can lay claim to significant past experience providing support across multiple Department of Homeland Security agencies to include recently adding a $63M DHS USCIS Enterprise Infrastructure Operations and Support Services (EIOSS) task win; picking up a $64M award with DHS this past Fall to support CISA OBIM’s mission to provide enduring identity services to DHS and its mission partners; and securing a Prime spot on the $1B DHS Enterprise Financial System Integrator (EFSI) BPA. These awards build on a string of other recent wins for GDIT across the Department of Homeland Security of late, to include a $325M Emergency Communications Division PTS Support contract they added with DHS CISA; a $35M CPSTR II contract they picked up in support of DHS USCIS; a $14M DHS Secret Service task for Service Desk, NOSC Operations, Support Services; a $252M DHS NPPD Data Center O&M Support task; and a $109M Financial Systems Support BPA win in support of DHS CBP.
- GDIT has been busy making key hires to support growth, to include the recent addition of John Slota, an established growth and strategy leader with 30 years of progressive experience leading business development for some of the most successful firms in town; recruiting DHS CBP Cybersecurity SME Michael Mather to lead an Information System Security team; and recruiting Jeremy Mishler an experienced Congressional Liaison and innovation lead, who spent the preceding two years with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency/NPPD and who spent more than ten years with DHS.
