G2X TAKE: Leidos, a Fortune 500® information technology, engineering, and science solutions and services leader and Federal powerhouse, recently beat out six other bidders to be awarded a 5-year contract to support the General Services Administration’s Technology Transformation Service. Work will be to support the Housing and Urban Development Department Phase II Contact Center requirement. The contract was competed and awarded using GSA IT-70.
- Early this year HUD issued its first awards for IT modernization Centers of Excellence on the heels of releasing several RFQs ushering HUD into phase 2 of its IT modernization initiative. GSA selected HUD as its second agency partner for the COE program in 2018. During Phase I, HUD and GSA focused on discovery and assessment of HUD’s IT modernization needs. With Phase II, HUD and GSA will look to begin building around those needs.
- This past Spring HUD awarded Leidos a Single Family Housing Program Resource Call Center bridge contract noting: “In FY 19 GSA initiated a competitive contractual requirement using GSA’s Center of Excellence (CoE) Initiative to procure a developmental single front-door contact center, called HUD Central. HUD Central will be an omnichannel, outsourced, HUD-wide front-door contact center and Knowledge Management (KM) solution that will improve mission delivery, drive cost savings, and replace the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Resource Center and four other contact centers within HUD. The sole-source bridge contract was needed to ensure there was no break in service and a smooth transition between FHA Resource Center and HUD Central.” More here.
- In addition, Leidos brings direct experience supporting HUD on a number of efforts ranging from providing support for the Debt Collections and Assets Management System to providing Systems Integration/End User Services, and eDiscovery Management Support Services.
- Leidos was recently named one of the NXT UP firms poised to make big waves in the Federal sector in 2020 and for years to come.
