G2X TAKE: The Government has made a new award decision in relation to this 5-year, $49M contract to provide a range of Information Security and Privacy Services in support of the Environmental Protection Agency, with this new contract win once again going to Iron Vine Security.
This re-award comes almost a year to the day after an initial contract was awarded, only to see that contract terminated shortly thereafter. Details related to any steps taken by the Government in relation to this competition have not been provided.
Details related to the prior award and the termination leading up to the award of this new contract, identified as funded by the Office of Mission Support and competed as a small business set-aside on GSA IT-70 with 7 bidders, can be found below.
Led by President Bill Geimer and EVP and a former Federal CISO Ryan Brewer, Iron Vine was named to the list of NXT UP firms poised to make big waves in the Federal sector in 2020 and for years to come.

G2X TAKE: Awarded just last month, to Iron Vine Security, this 5-year task to provide a range of Information Security and Privacy Services in support of the Environmental Protection Agency, has now been terminated.
No details have been provided as to the reasons for the termination for convenience, and we won’t speculate here as to why the Agency would take this action. What we can say is that it was clearly not performance related as the work never really got underway. More information will be shared here as it is made available.
Details related to the award are included below.
G2X TAKE: Iron Vine Security, a very fast growing small business focused on creating innovative, cost-effective cybersecurity solutions that make a measurable impact, just beat out 6 other bidders to secure this 5-year task to provide a range of Information Security and Privacy Services in support of the Environmental Protection Agency. This task, funded out of the EPA Office of Mission Support, was competed and awarded as a small business set-aside using GSA IT-70.
- Led by President Bill Geimer and founding partners Jason Figley and Brent Duckworth, this is the first Prime award we can find for Iron Vine, but this group does maintain a broad set of past performance providing IT Security and Engineering Services to a broad set of Federal Civilian agencies, to include the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), HHS/Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), US Agency for International Development (USAID), US Department of State (DOS) and the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).
- After initially serving as a strategic consultant to the company, late last year Iron Vine Security tapped Cybersecurity industry leader Ryan Brewer to serve as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Business Development as they looked to take advantage of the perspective he brings as a former Federal CISO at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) overseeing 100+ resources and >$800B in healthcare payments, and as an executive driving growth for several successful small and large businesses.
- Iron Vine was recently named to the updated list of NXT UP firms poised to make big waves in the Federal sector in 2020 and for years to come.
Included below is a snapshot of Prime obligations for Iron Vine across the Federal sector.
