“Formerly administrator of the Office of E-Government and IT (a position now known as the federal government’s chief information officer), Forman has been recognized for modernizing government and improving customer focus through his work spanning a variety of government and industry positions. Leveraging this experience, he will lead a team to advise and assist government leaders implementing new business solutions that address core performance challenges. His work will help agencies in defining modernization investments, taking advantage of technologies to simplify business processes, and turning data insights into actions that achieve better results. Forman also will work closely with DIS practice leads to ensure solutions address holistic, end-to-end organizational needs including IT, change management, human capital, and strategic communications requirements.”

“Bringing Mark into this new position gives DIS the opportunity to build a cutting-edge strategic transformation practice that can generate innovative solutions to age-old business problems within the U.S. federal government,” said CEO, JD Sullivan. “His integrated government, policy and IT expertise and vast years of experience making government work will help ensure our integrated solutions meet the specific needs of federal leaders and their agencies, promoting change in the desired direction.”

As a government executive, he managed and led more than 2000 people working on 25 large multi-agency Presidential initiatives relating interactions between the federal government and businesses, federal and state governments, federal government and individuals, and shared services across agencies. He is widely accredited for his work in changing government’s approach for IT spending to focus on Return on Investment, cybersecurity, and modernization.  As an industry executive, he built and led teams of consultants and program delivery for governments around the world. Mr. Forman excels at team building to define and achieve strategic programs and transformation initiatives. He has previously served in senior national and global leadership positions at Unisys, SAIC, Engility, KPMG and IBM. He also co-founded and led his own cloud computing and IT consulting companies. Forman is a member of multiple boards and advisory councils. In 2013, the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) honored him with the prestigious Janice K. Mendenhall Spirit of Leadership Award for his contributions to the federal IT community. He also was inducted into the GCN Hall of Fame in 2006 and received the Eagle Award from Federal Computer Week for exceptional government service in 2002.”
