“NASA/Ames Research Center (ARC) has a requirement for Aviation Safety Reporting System (ASRS). NASA ARC operates and manages the ASRS and other safety reporting systems that are modeled to function as voluntary, independent, confidential systems in aviation and railroad transportation. The ASRS operates under an Interagency Agreement (IAA) with the Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
NASA ARC intends to extend contract NNA16BD58C for Aviation Safety Reporting System (ASRS) with Booz Allen Hamilton on a sole-source basis to 10 U.S.C 2304 (c) (1), and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services with Satisfy Agency Requirements.
The purpose for the extension is necessary to continue on-going mission critical work, pending placement of the follow-on contract.
The period of performance will be extended for up to 18 months, consisting of 12-month base period, and two three-month option periods.
