“NASA has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Information Technology Specialist who is prepared to lead as Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) and direct state-of-the-art computing, networking, and cybersecurity at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. You will partner with the CIO to obtain resources, identify strategic organizational objectives, define technical work requirements and milestones, and evaluate the organization and employee accomplishments.”
- Provide technical and administrative direction to employees (e.g., select employees, assign work, recommend employee promotions and recognition, approve leave, evaluate performance, implement performance actions, etc.).
- Make technical decisions, consult on delivery of IT and information management services, ensure missions and objects are met. Develop/implement policies and IT security procedures and devise long-term strategies.
- Evaluate the organization, devise/recommend improvement plans (e.g., program policies, practices, methods, and organizational structure). Coordinate formative requirements for new programs and project design/implementation; manage ongoing programs.
- Oversee IT project planning and management (e.g. analyze/resolve IT design-related issued). Direct implementation of quality assurance processes; ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, standards, and technical procedures.
