G2X TAKE: Synectics, a woman-owned small business research, statistics, technology, and data science consulting devoted to “making data meaningful” recently beat out one other bidder to pick up a 7-year task in support of NSF. This task was competed on CIO-SP3 SB.
- Synectics brings prior experience supporting NSF through a wide range of activities, providing a full range of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence (DWBI) capability and also providing Government survey collection and reporting support. More here.
- In 2014, “The National Science Foundation (NSF) awarded a five-year contract, valued at $30 million, through the NIH NITAAC CIO-SP3 IDIQ Small Business vehicle, to the team of Synectics for Management Decisions, Inc. (Synectics) ” and Salient CRGT to replace an existing contract that was providing on-site Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence (DW/BI) support services. ” Read the full press release here.
- Synectics has been quite aggressive on the recruiting front, adding industry leader Bob Strom late last year to serve as Executive Director of Business Development and RJ Kolton as Senior Vice President of Business Development. Big investments do not guarantee results, but they signify intent.
