“The Commerce Department’s national economic statistics provider is on the search for a new chief information officer.
Applications for this executive role within the Bureau of Economic Analysis are due by April 26, according to a recent job announcement.
‘The posting includes information about what we are looking for in a candidate, including the Executive Core Qualifications and the Professional and Technical Qualifications, along with the job responsibilities and our equal employment opportunity policy,’ a BEA public affairs specialist told Nextgov Tuesday. ‘All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.’
Among other responsibilities listed in the post, BEA officials wrote that the individual chosen would act as the principal adviser on, and work to improve, the bureau’s operations around information resources and systems management.
