“The Office of SBIC Examinations (OSE) has already developed in SP online, in phase I and II, an SBIC Exam PPAM (exam planning, projecting, and monitoring) system which uses Microsoft applications to schedule and track exam assignments, completion and exam results. This was performed during FY 2019 and 2020. OSE’s ExamPPAM system is synchronized through an Excel feeder with OII’s IDIS system for information generated from other offices within OII.

The primary purpose of this requirement is to improve the OSE existing ExamPPAM system and related document management and reporting system using all relevant and available Microsoft applications. This effort includes the integration OSE’s document management needs and interaction with the other offices within the Office of Investment and Innovation (OII), primarily with the Office of SBIC Operations. This system must be developed to ensure an easy migration or integration with a new IT modernization initiative within the OII. Included among the secondary purposes are 1) to ensure documents and technology used by OSE are converted to the most current technology, especially as it relates to Microsoft and Adobe Applications, 2) train OSE staff are trained on the use of these technologies and be available as a help desk, and 3) extract information from OII’s financial reporting systems to be able to use to assess micro and macro risk to the SBIC program, inform sampling and populate OSE exam workpapers.

All development efforts are contractually owned by SBA and performed on SBA’s IT Platforms.
