“This position is located in the Office of the Chief Information Officer. As the Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO), the incumbent fully shares in providing leadership in the formulation, development and execution of the Agency’s information technology management program in accordance with the mandates of the Information Technology Management Reform Act of 1996, the President’s Management Agenda, Federal Activities Inventory Reform Act, and other applicable laws, policy, and regulations.”
- Shares in formulating short and long-range strategic goals, based on industry best practices, Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA), other applicable information technology statutes, and SBA’s Strategic Plan.
- Develops action plans and conducts investment reviews based on cost/benefit analysis of current information architecture, software, equipment and information technology training needs to improve SBA’s management information systems.
- Monitors and evaluates the performance of information systems based on applicable performance measures.
- Directs policy development in order to efficiently and effectively coordinate information technology efforts, streamline existing reporting and decision-making process, and optimize oversight and direction of the information technology program.”
