SSA taps new Office of Electronic Services and Technology and IT Modernization Leaders

The Social Security Administration recently promoted two current Technology leaders into new roles, to include identifying a new OEST Associate Commissioner and promoting another leader to drive modernization efforts.  

Kishayra Lambert, armed with experience gained overseeing a geographically dispersed staff of 500+ Federal employees and contractors and responsible for the daily operations of the Agency’s critical Information Technology infrastructure, takes on a new role as Associate Commissioner within the Social Security Administration’s Office of Electronic Services and Technology. 

Prior roles include: 

  • Deputy Associate Commissioner, Office of Systems Operations – Social Security Administration 
  • SES Candidate Development Participant – Social Security Administration 
  • Various Procurement Positions – United States Department of Defense

Andrea Velez will bring the perspective she has gained in a series of progressively responsible roles spanning more than a decade with the Social Security Administration to her new role as the Deputy Chief Program Officer leading IT Modernization. 

Prior roles include: 

  • Executive Officer – Social Security Administration 
  • Branch Chief – Social Security Administration 
  • Branch Chief – US Department of Health and Human Services – Health Resources and Services Administration
