G2X TAKE: Synergy, a small business IT firm specializing in Agile Development, System Integration, Business Process Reengineering, Cyber Security, and Mobile Solutions, just beat out seven other bidders to be awarded a 5-year, $233M task with the US Department of Agriculture to provide enterprise application services. This task, funded by the USDA Office of the Chief Information Officer, was 8(a) competed using the CIO-SP3 SB contract vehicle.
- This is the first Prime award we can find for Synergy in support of USDA, but this group does lay claim to a broad set of past performance that cuts across DOD and the Federal Civilian sector, to include at the U.S. Department of Labor, the DHS U.S. Coast Guard, and the U.S. Department of Transportation. - In addition to serving as an 8(a) and SB Prime on CIO-SP3 SB, Synergy has amassed and maintains access to a number of key contract vehicles, to include 8(a) STARS II; GSA OASIS 8(a) and SB for Pool 1; as a Prime contract holder for the single-award DOL IT Systems Engineering and Integration Support Services Contract; and as Prime contract holder for the Coast Guard’s $400 Million 8(a) single-award IDIQ for Application Product Line Enterprise Support (APLES) services.
