The Forest Service has issued an RFP for a project management support requirement for preparing and administering business proposals and cases to the United States Forest Service Information Resources Direction Board (IRDB). The contractor will support the program management office by assisting in acquisition development and approvals process. Because of the contractor’s role in the Government’s acquisition process, the contractor will be restricted from competing/obtaining contract awards from this office for anything other than program/project management support.
The contractor shall assist the Geospatial Technology and Application Center (GTAC) with gathering information for use in updating annual proposals for multiple business cases and projects in the US Forest Service database of record. Updates include information on business alignment, objectives and milestones, resource optimization, risk identification and mitigation, performance, and delivery of benefits. The contractor shall be able to manage the project from a lifecycle perspective. The contractor shall recommend, and where able implement, process improvement and capture best practices. GTAC historically submits 10-13 project proposal submissions annually but is subject to changes resulting from new business and agency priorities. The contractor shall also participate in relevant IRDB trainings and briefings that provide updated guidance for the current submission cycle.
The anticipated period of performance is six months with an option to extend services for up to six months.Featured USDA USDA XTRA
