The USDA Forest Service intends to issue a solicitation, around 11 January 2019, for Project Management Support. This is the second solicitation for this effort, as the first solicitation, issued as Small Business Set-Aside, did not result in two or more responsible, competitive, small business concerns.The Geospatial Technology and Application Center (GTAC) includes requirements for management and professional support services for a variety of projects across multiple program areas including: Data Development and Cartography, Disturbance Assessments and Service, Enterprise Data Services, Resource Applications and Technology Implementation, Resource Mapping, Inventory and Monitoring, and Training and User Support Programs.
The scope of work includes assisting GTAC with gathering information for use in updating annual proposals for multiple business cases and projects in the USFS database of record. Updates include information on business alignment, objectives and milestones, resource optimization, risk identification and mitigation, performance, and delivery of benefits. The contractor shall be able to manage the project from a lifecycle perspective. The contractor shall recommend, and where able implement, process improvement and capture best practices.
