The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has awarded a contract to CSRA (now GDIT), for a new T&M task order to acquire software development support needed to apply security features to the Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS-Domestic) and Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi). USPTO is in the process of making regulatory changes that will reduce the probability of continuing fraudulent activity. These changes in regulations require changes to TEAS, TEASi, and related trademark systems. In parallel, the security posture of TEAS and TEASi needs immediate improvement by implementing authentication and authorization capability. These parallel initiatives require strict governance, communication, and technical coordination for the timely and quality delivery of each.
The period of performance is anticipated to be a base period of one year with a seven-month option period.
