White House taps two new Deputy CTOs

G2X TAKE: Michael Kratsios, the newly confirmed Chief Technology Officer of the United States at The White House, announced yesterday that two new leaders have been named to serve as Deputy Chief Technology Officers.

Winter Casey takes on the new role after 2 1/2 years serving as a senior advisor for technology policy to the Chief Technology Officer of the United States and head of international policy for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

Prior roles include:

  • Assistant Director for International Affairs and Senior Advisor for Technology Policy – Executive Office of the President, The White House
  • Senior Advisor for Internet Policy – U.S. Department of Commerce
  • Global Public Policy and Government Relations – Google

Dr. Lynne Parker, a current OSTP AI leader, will now serve in a dual role as Deputy Chief Technology Officer of the United States and Assistant Director of Artificial Intelligence at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP).

Prior roles include:

  • Associate Dean of Engineering – University of Tennessee
  • Division Director – National Science Foundation
