G2X TAKE: Beating out 10 other bidders, 8(a) and EDWOSB Halvik, who provides end-to-end software and management solutions, from design and development to O&M, has been awarded this 5-year $9M contract to support the NOAA Fisheries Office of the Chief Information Officer. This infrastructure support services contract was competed as a woman-owned small business set-aside using GSA IT-70.
- The company’s previous experience with NOAA includes a contract to provide services for the transfer, migration, and retention of critical historical data and a five year contract with the National Weather Service (NWS) to provide Program and Project support for supporting the Capabilities and Requirements Decision Support (CaRDS) Process for the Analyze, Forecast and Support Office (AFSO).
- In 2016, the company acquired SP Systems Inc., a provider of scientific research, engineering, data analysis, near real-time satellite data processing, algorithm development, and instrumentation to the Federal Government whose customers included NASA, NOAA, and DHS.
